Rawa Botanicals Skincare
Rawa is a Malaysian botanical skincare brand built around one idea: the most effective ingredients have always grown here. We just forgot to look.

Challenge
The botanical skincare space is crowded, every brand claiming the same roots, the same purity, the same land. Rawa needed to stop claiming and start showing. The identity had to feel like the ingredient itself: unprocessed, grounded, real.


Approach
The process started with the land. Rawa draws from Malaysia's rainforests, its river valleys, its generations of botanical knowledge, so the color palette did too. Deep terracottas, warm earth tones, the muted hues of bark and dried leaf. Typography was chosen for quiet authority: a fine serif wordmark that doesn't shout. Packaging on uncoated stock, stripped of excess, just the name, the origin, the ingredient. Every decision made to feel like something you'd pick up and trust before you'd read a single word.


Outcome
Delivered a complete brand identity system in 8 weeks — including a 28-page brand guidelines deck, logo and wordmark suite, full typography and color system, business card, and packaging design for one SKU. The client described the result as exactly what they had in their head but couldn't articulate, a brand that felt native to the land it came from, without trying to explain itself. Rawa launched with an identity strong enough to carry the product into retail conversations from day one.
